CHEVEUX DE VÉNUS – HIS STORY

Our ancestors appreciated “Venus hair” stone as an ornament during the Roman EmPire, and it was popular in Europe in the 17th century. Today, the largest deposit is in Brazil, although some can be found in the Alps and Madagascar. Mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner first described Rutile in 1803 and gave it its name, which means “hair of Venus” in Latin due to its golden inclusions and needles. Since then, the stone has been used to create trendy and unique jewelry, and is also used in lithotherapy for its multiple protective virtues. Whereas in the past, it was consumed in elixir form, today we prefer to use the stone in its natural or polished state to benefit from its protective vibrations on a daily basis.

VENUS HAIR STONE – ITS ORIGIN AND COMPOSITION

This variety of Rock Crystal has rutile inclusions that are characterized by fine flexuous fibers, offering a blond-red sheen that earned it its name “Hair of Venus” in reference to the hair of the Roman goddess. In the wild, some examples of this stone can weigh tens of kilograms and contain hematite and rutile inclusions visible to the naked eye. Venus Hair may also feature golden inclusions or a base giving the impression of growing like a plant, or even a six-pointed star more rarely.

Venus Hair stone consists mainly of titanium, with nuances contributed by the presence of tin, iron, tantalum, vanadium and niobium. During crystallization, rutile is embedded in quartz, forming the golden needles at the heart of the stone. With a hardness of 7 and a density of 2.65 on the Mohs scale, this stone is resistant and transparent. Venus Hair can be found in jewelry collections around the world.

VENUS HAIR STONE – VERTIES AND PROPERTIES

VENUS HAIR ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL LEVEL

Venus Hair stone is known to instill a sense of freedom, hope and optimism in its wearer, as well as indestructible mental strength by freeing them from fears and doubts. It also brings mental clarity, making choices more thoughtful and straightforward. As Rutile Quartz, this stone is a crystal of wisdom that can teach about sPirituality and the universe. Meditation with Venus Hair can develop clairvoyance, while its presence in a space can act as a protective guardian, warding off bad energies and attracting financial prosperity, according to some theraPists. Shy people or those lacking in self-confidence are advised to wear this stone to improve their self-esteem.

HEADS OF VENUS ON THE PHYSICAL LEVEL

Venus Hair stone is a rock crystal with powerful accompanying properties. It is said to be able to prevent and combat dysfunctions of the resPiratory system, relieve back pain and ease breathing for athletes. However, in the event of illness, it is important to consult a physician, and the stone can only offer temporary relief. The stone’s rutile filaments can amplify its benefits, while using amber in combination can relieve resPiratory disorders.

The Venus Hair stone can be placed on different chakras for different effects, such as combating infertility when placed on the second chakra, combating fatigue and providing physical energy when placed on the solar plexus, eliminating sadness when placed on the third chakra, and soothing past-life wounds. TheraPists often use it to purify their aura and reharmonize the chakras.

VENUS HAIR STONE – CLEAN AND RECHARGE

Like all stones and crystals, Venus Hair Stone can benefit from regular cleansing and recharging to maintain its optimal energetic properties. Here are some common methods for cleansing and recharging the Venus Hair Stone:

Cleaning:

  • Salt water: rinse the stone under running salt water for a few minutes, then dry with a soft cloth.
  • Fumigation: pass the stone through sage, palo santo or copal incense smoke for about a minute.
  • Earth: bury the stone in earth or sand for a few hours or overnight.

Load:

  • Sunlight: expose stone to direct sunlight for a few hours (caution, some stones may discolor with prolonged exposure to sunlight).
  • Moonlight: place the stone outdoors on a full moon night or in a place where it can catch the moonlight.
  • Quartz clusters: place the stone on or next to a quartz cluster to recharge it.

It is recommended to clean and recharge the Venus Hair Stone after each use or when you feel its energy is weakened.

WHERE DOES THE NAME VENUS HAIR COME FROM?

The name “Venus Hair” comes from the resemblance of this rose quartz variety to hair fibers. This resemblance is due to inclusions of rutile, a mineral that can form long, thin needles inside the quartz crystal. These inclusions give the stone a delicate, fascinating appearance, reminiscent of the hair of a goddess from Roman mythology: Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. This is how the stone came to be called “Venus’s Hair”.

WHICH CHAKRA DOES VENUS HAIR ACT ON?

Venus Hair Stone acts primarily on the heart chakra, which is located in the center of the chest. By acting on this chakra, the stone can help release emotional blockages, promote emotional healing, stimulate love of self and others, as well as bring inner peace and energetic balance. Venus Hair Stone can also be used to open and balance the body’s other chakras, especially those linked to the heart chakra, such as the throat and solar chakras.

WHICH ASTROLOGICAL SIGN IS ASSOCIATED WITH VENUS HAIR?

Venus Hair Stone is primarily associated with the astrological signs of Taurus and Libra. Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, and is often associated with sensory pleasures and material stability. Libra is an air sign also ruled by Venus, which is often associated with harmony, balance and aesthetic beauty. People born under these signs may therefore be particularly attracted to Venus Hair Stone due to its connection with the planet Venus and its energetic properties associated with love, inner peace and emotional balance. However, it should be noted that this stone can be beneficial for all people, regardless of their astrological sign.

VENUS HAIR STONE SUMMARY

Venus hair stone is a semi-precious stone used in lithotherapy for its healing and energetic properties. It is also known as serpentine and is often confused with other green stones such as jade or aventurine.

In lithotherapy, Venus hair stone is associated with the heart chakra, making it a useful stone for emotional healing and the release of stress and anxiety. It is also considered a stone of protection against negative energies and can help stimulate creativity and self-confidence.

Venus hair stone is often used to make jewelry or decorative objects, but can also be used in meditation or placed in a working or sleePing environment to help improve the surrounding energy. However, it should be noted that lithotherapy does not replace traditional medical treatments and should be used in conjunction with them.
