Under Article 6.0 of the ICIA Bylaws, any crystal specimen exhibiting aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon absorption peaks in the 2800–3200 cm⁻¹ mid-infrared corridor (diagnostic aromatic peak at 3054 cm⁻¹) triggers an automatic [RC] classification. The specimen is irrevocably capped at Tier 3 (Commercial Grade), permanently barred from Tier 1 (EX) and Tier 2 (VG) collector classifications, and natural color integrity is stamped as void.
