Chapter 01: Core Ethical Pillars & Obligations

Section I • Uncompromising Transparency & Scientific Impartiality

01

The ICIA Global Code of Conduct enforces uncompromising integrity across the international crystal and mineral supply chain. Adherence to this charter is a strict legal precondition for maintaining accreditation, commercial licenses, and professional standing within the alliance.

1.1 Absolute Transparency & Mandatory Treatment Disclosures

All accredited merchants (CABCS) and testing laboratories (OA-LAB) are legally bound to declare any artificial enhancement, thermal treatment [H], irradiation [I], coating [C/D], or resin reinforcement [RC]. Concealment of treatments constitutes an immediate ethical violation leading to red-card revocation and public blacklisting.

1.2 Scientific Impartially & Independence from Commercial Bias

Certified professional appraisers (PCAS) and testing bureaus must maintain strict independence from commercial transactions. Blind sample testing, multi-focal micro-tomography, and spectroscopic screening ensure grading outcomes are completely immune to market pressure or financial bias.

Chapter 02: Stakeholder Compliance & Enforcement
