The evaluation criteria for crystals are different from those for high-end gemstones. Most high-end gemstones put color first in their evaluation, but for crystals, color and clarity (called crystal in the crystal industry) are almost equally important factors:
Color
For any gemstone, color is very important, and crystal is no exception. If the crystal is colored, such as rose quartz, citrine, amethyst, etc., the highest standard for color evaluation is bright and beautiful, without other tones such as gray, black, and brown. For example, for rose quartz, pink is the best color; for amethyst, the color is required to be bright purple, pure and not black; for citrine, the color is required to be free of green and lemon tones, and golden orange is the best. For hair crystals, the color of the crystal is also very important. For the same hair, the crystals of completely colorless (white crystal) and slightly brown are different in visual perception, so the price of the former will be higher than the latter.
Clarity
The clarity requirements of crystals and high-end gemstones are very different. High-end gemstones are rare, so people generally do not demand too much clarity for high-end gemstones. The output of crystal is really amazing, so people usually require the crystal to be as clear as possible, and try to avoid crystals with obvious inclusions.
Impurities
If the impurities inside the crystal contain the shapes of legendary figures, such as Buddha, constellations, zodiac signs, etc., the value may be higher than crystals of the same color and clarity.
